Happy Monday, guys! Fall is in full swing here in Chicago. There is little chill in the air these days, leaves are starting to change color and I’ve gotten cozy by the fire with a good red wine, a handful of times already.
Honestly, there are few things I love more than the transition in to a new season. I get borderline crazy this time of year swapping things around in my closet as well as in my home. When the weather cools down it immediately makes me want to get busy making everything around me as cozy as possible, ya know?
Here are five fall updates I’m incorporating to both my home and wardrobe this season to help achieve the perfect amount of cute and cozy.
Chunky Knit Blanket
I mean, how yummy does this look? I’ve been doing some searching for the perfect one and trust me, I’ve found plenty but the price tag on some are a little steep. Sooo…I’m in the process of making one of these dreamy blankets on my own.
I will keep you guys in the loop on how it goes. Just ordered the yarn yesterday, fingers crossed they are as easy to make as they appear in the tutorials ha otherwise I will probably be heading over here and grabbing this one in grey.
A Plaid Cape
Fall is always a little tricky when it comes to getting dressed, that’s why I love a good layered look. I basically live in leather jackets, tees and scarves this time of year but lately I’ve been admiring a few really cute plaid capes to add to the mix!
If you’re up for a little splurge, I love this one. This guy is still on my radar but I just got my hands on this cutie last week. The black and camel color combo is perfect and the fur hood is a really pretty addition, plus it’s only $79!
Leopard Print Bootie
I have a feeling that the leopard bootie is going to become my new go-to neutral shoe this Fall. Something slightly different than my black or grey bootie but still a piece that can be mixed and matched super easy.
Off the Shoulder Sweaters
I love this “not really trying but still sexy off the shoulder look.” If I’m being honest, I’ve kind of been ordering them like crazy the last few weeks. If you bop over to my shop, Lois Loves Will you will find a couple off the shoulder sweaters that I am in love with. This pretty cable knit being one of them! I’m also in to this little grey number.
Warm Tobacco Pipe Smelling Candle
One of my favorite things about this time of year is finding new candle fragrances to burn through out the house. I always want my home to feel welcoming and in my opinion, having the perfect candle burning really makes a difference with this.
I’m pretty much a picky bitch when it comes to my candles. Really not in to anything too sweet or fruity. I much more prefer a strong masculine scent like amber, musk, or sandalwood.
So, if you are in to a warmer scent like me, you have to try this “warm tobacco pipe” candle. It’s a little bit unexpected but so yummy at the same time which I love. It burns clean and I swear has lasted way longer than it says it’s expected to!
What are you guys doing to update your cozy vibe? Would love to hear.
Talk soon, guys!
